3-8-19 Evening Update


Fairly small time to work on the game now that I'm back on the day job, but here's what I pulled off this evening:

  • Fixed rations being destroyed when too full to eat.
  • Added Perlin-Noise derived map generation, the start of what could eventually be biomes!
  • Now spawning player at a random position on top of the only shipping tile.

In time, I would like to get rid of the idea of there being "shipping tiles" and do something a bit more dynamic, like temporary drop zones you can summon.  I would also like to make ruins more common the closer you are to the edge of the map, and have them spawn cool things to discover.  So far, none of that is in, and chances are those kinds of goals will have to wait until after the deadline.  

This would be my day 6 submission, so I only have one more morning and evening to work on it.
